Travelers
Travelers Overview
Calling it the China Flu is kind of rough to hear.
Go Home. Stay Home
Hey, we're not going to China anymore
I don’t think it’s gonna be New York City again for a while
Oh, be careful when you're flying
They just handed you a Ziploc bag with a little water bottle and a snack in it.
Two very different ways of approaching this pandemic.
Recreation, Nature and the Environment
Recreation, Nature, and the Environment Overview
Flying
I held my breath the whole time, I didn't know what else to do.
If we're gonna survive, we gotta find a healthier way to do it.
It just doesn't sound like as enjoyable of an experience.
The dress rehearsal or a trial run for the climate catastrophe.
Essential Workers
Essential Workers Overview
100 of my work friends disappeared in a day
I don't think people always really know how much is going on behind the scenes.
I was furloughed, and then I was laid off, and then I was re-hired
It's extremely hard to just stay hydrated.
I’m wagging a finger reminding people to wear a mask
Oh, that's not what I pictured your face to be like.
They would park the semis and people lined up to go get free food
’cause capitalism says so
A Family in a Pandemic
Equity, Diversity, and Social Justice
Equity, Diversity, and Social Justice Overview
Anything and everything can happen in this little space
It's still a medical issue... but our response has been for sure political.
Support the folks that strive for peace and justice.
The cops who were stepping on the back of George Floyd's neck were not wearing fucking masks
This is why cities are powerful because it's so small that you can really make change if you are persistent.
Yeah, universal income. I think universal housing even, and universal healthcare.
You know, with everything going on, as you said, Blue Lives matter
Eventually it will spoil our pristine, butter maiden landscape

Mental & Physical Health and Wellness
Mental & Physical Health and Wellness Overview
Boy, this thing, it'll take its toll.
I had to tear down a 150-year-old barn.
I have a feeling within a year, there's gonna be some real shortages.
I just feel a lot of stress in the upper shoulders, in the neck region
It kind of took away our happiness in that it stole the being able to share our daughter with our closest family and friends.
It’s just get in your car and go home, just go your separate ways
This is gonna be like the zombie apocalypse
We can't escape the cultural and historical moment that we live in.
What does the body need? What's the antidote here?
Relationships, Family and Community
Don’t be afraid to trust even if you can’t hug that person.
Everybody was nervous, everybody was upset, everybody was scared in one way or another.
I think more what stresses me out is how people are so divided about it.
If you want me prognosticate what's going to happen with our society...
It doesn't seem to have a lot of rhyme or reason to who it takes down
I’m a gamer so I’m really into online communities
Maybe if I just stay home, it'll all go away and I won't have to deal with any of that.
Nobody come downstairs. I'm down here.
People are going to maybe stop chasing that elusive thing that they think is going to make them happy.
People are supposed to sit far apart, they're not supposed to sing hymns.
Some friendships go a little deeper.
We don’t go out for dinner like we used to, but I’m perfectly happy
We form a community, and then the community can praise God together.
What happens when the snow starts [to] fly I'm not quite sure.
You have every reason to be completely off your rocker right now.
You’re the first new person I’ve met in months
Creative Life
Creative Life Overview
If you were to look at my paintings before and after... you can see a visual color palette shift.
I’ve already published sixty-five [books], now I’m on sixty-six.
Mike Scholtz, a documentary filmmaker
My beautiful viola is still over in China.
No, there's nothing funny right now
So it'll be like dragons or Twilight or rain, and then I play what I decide is that sound, and that has been really nourishing.
So it's a bad thing all of a sudden, our most treasured good thing.
That doesn't mean that I couldn't fall apart at any given moment
The Jaakola-Ripley family plays a song
There's no disconnect between your body and the strings
This could be something that would kill you.
This is the point where organic and local agriculture can shine.
What am I doing? What am I doing? How am I helping this?
